This was a great workshop and Dr Hamid Montakab was an excellent speaker. His book is on my Santa list this year.the workshop was about Luo -connecting points and he says “The luo mai protect against the outer world in two ways:by influencing and regulating all contact with the world, and by acting as a buffer mechanism, absorbing any excesses caused by external pathogenic factors. Thus they complement the functions of the primary meridians and protect them against external aggressors.By releasing these accumulated excesses and retained emotions, practitioners can resolve acute or chronic factors. This can have a positive effect on a patient,s psyche.”I got some really good ideas about which points to use for things like insomnia ,stress and anxiety and it has prompted me to take a second look at these luo points when I am seeing patients with emotional problems.
