Acupuncture for Achilles’ tendon and calfs

I visited for acupuncture as I was experiencing pain with my calves and Achilles.I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect at first but I soon found Ruth to be very friendly, extremely professional and strictly  followed the new Covid safety guidelines.The atmosphere at her practice is very chilled and relaxed which put me at ease.I am pleased to say that I am feeling the benefits of my treatments and am now looking forward to returning to my normal levels of activity pain free.

I have been receiving acupuncture in conjunction with electro magnetic lamp therapy at Zen acupuncture and therapies. Ruth offers a comprehensive assessment prior to every treatment of which I have never received in other practices, this put my mind at ease from the outset.
I have always found acupuncture helpful for generalized aches and pains including migraine, however I was skeptical as to what could be offered with my most recent ailment. Sacro Iliac joint dysfunction with pseudo sciatica, also poor sleep from the medication. I had been attending a chiropractor who did what he could (successfully), however I continued to suffer excruciating pain. It took a couple of treatments with Ruth to see an improvement … about 7-8 sessions on … well there is a vast improvement. I am even looking forward to going back to my exercise class, this couldn’t have been further from my mind a couple of months ago.
After treatment I feel relaxed, calm and positive for my future. Ruth asks further questions over a lovely cup of green tea. The sessions are never rushed. Ruth is extremely friendly and professional at all times. The only thing I have to say really is … Thank you Ruth xxx
